For outstanding efforts and achievement in citizen communication, Charlestown Township was presented the First Place Award in the Websites Category for townships in their population range by the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) in January 2013.

This annual contest recognizes townships that have successfully communicated programs and activities to its citizens.   The website was judged on the usefulness of information presented and how well it was communicated.  It was also judged on its overall attractiveness and readability. 

 Charlestown’s website design and support is handled by Allen P. Underkofler, of A.P. Underkofler Associates.  While many board members and volunteers are involved, the Township Manager, Linda Csete, provides most of the content and originally collaborated with Mr. Underkofler to set up the layout of the site, which premiered in 2009.
