Malvern, PA – At its meeting on Nov. 12, the Great Valley Board of School Directors approved the appointment of Victoria Morris as the principal of K.D. Markley Elementary School. Morris fills the position vacated by Juliette Pennyman earlier this year.
Morris comes to Great Valley from the Marple Newtown School District where she currently serves as a supervisor of special education. Just prior to her current role, Morris was principal of Loomis Elementary School in Marple Newtown for four years, and was previously assistant principal of J.R. Fugett Middle School. She has additional experience as an elementary principal in the Upper Darby School District where she began her career as a special education teacher and also worked as an assistant principal at the middle school level.
Morris earned her master of science in educational leadership from St. Joseph’s University and a bachelor of science in special education from West Chester University. Her certifications include: supervisor of curriculum and instruction, special education, secondary principal, elementary principal, and superintendent.
“I am very excited to come to Great Valley School District,” Morris said at the School Board meeting. “The District has an outstanding reputation for student achievement and I am happy to be part of this team.”
