With December just around the corner, Malvern Federal Savings Bank will ring in the holiday season as presenting sponsor of Malvern’s Victorian Christmas for the fifth consecutive year. The 15^th annual holiday celebration
will feature a variety of performances and activities, many of which will take place at the Bank’s financial center located on King Street.  Slated for Friday, December 7and Saturday, December 8, the two-day event brings members
of the Malvern community together for a Victorian-style celebration of holiday-inspired food, festivities and fun.

Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday with live coverage from NBC 10 in Burke Park when townsfolk will gather to light the Town Tree. Following the lighting, attendees
can enjoy special musical performances throughout town, as well strolling street performers, children’s shows, horse and carriage rides, and a hayride. Many of the local stores will host open houses with complimentary refreshments for
attendees looking to start their holiday shopping. Children will have their chance to tell Santa Claus their wishes when he makes a special appearance under the pavilion at Burke Park.

On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., children can stop by Malvern Federal Savings Bank to have their complimentary photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy light refreshments.  Starting at 10 a.m., attendees can explore town on either a holiday hayrides or a horse and carriage ride, the former of which will board in the Bank’s parking lot. The carriage rides will board in front of Sheffield Furniture on King Street. The day’s celebration will wrap up at 3 p.m.

Malvern Federal Savings Bank will also serve as a collection site for the Chester County Food Bank’s holiday food drive that began on November 1 and will run through December 14. Non-perishable food items may be dropped off during the bank’s operating hours. The goal for this year’s food drive is to raise 1,500 pounds in food donations.
