You read it right. There is an "s" on the end of "Project" in the title of this annoucement.
Because we have already surpassed the halfway mark with fundraising for the Malvern Pizza mural, and have received overwhelming support from the community, we've decided to take on one more mural project near the train station.
The Gallagher’s Auto Services location is across from the new, yet historic, train station and Caffé Craze. As Malvern becomes a more transit-oriented town we all agree that we'd like train passengers, commuters, patrons, and visitors to see a more inviting "Welcome to Malvern." More details about this mural to come.
The Malvern Pizza location offers the biggest, smoothest, and most visible canvas on King St. The full-color mural will depict Victorian era life in our small railroad town. It’s a charming, classy, and appealing way to honor our town’s history as Malvern undergoes some exciting changes.
The murals will complement the redevelopment and beautification projects in the Borough. A mural painting is a distinguishing characteristic in a community. They often become landmarks and can attract visitors. It’s good for all of the residents and businesses in town.
This project is being funded by our community.
Please consider helping us make Malvern even more beautiful through a tax deductible donation.
We need to raise $10,000 to have these murals painted in the Spring/Summer of 2013.

Does anyone have a rendering of what these things are going to look like? The one in Berwyn on the side of the wall near Clay's Bakery is great, but if we're talking about one of those disjointed, multi-scene murals, that's a whole other story as to whether it's "classy" or not.

Hi K. Lee - the mural in Berwyn was our inspiration. The mural on the side of Malvern Pizza will be a full-color montage depicting Victorian Era life in Malvern. A professional mural artist was just selected and is working on sketches while consulting with our Historical Commission in town. Borough Council and the Business & Professional Assoc are also involved in the decision making process. We are certain the community will be pleased. You can follow our progress on facebook as we announce the artist and are ready to release sketches. https://www.facebook.com/MalvernMuralProject

We are excited to announce that for the full-color montage mural depicting Victorian Era life in Malvern, on the side Malvern Pizza, we will be working with artist Carrie Kingsbury. Carrie has been creating one of a kind murals for businesses and homes throughout the Tri-state area for over a decade, but has flown as far as California and India to paint murals. Her work was featured on the TV show Extreme Home Makeover Berks Edition and some of her more well-known clients include St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as many local restaurants and schools in our area. You may recognize her work right here in Malvern, she painted the fox hunting scene on the side of the Great American Pub at the other end of King Street! Carrie is busy researching and consulting with the Historical Commission in the Borough and making sketches to be reviewed by the Papadopoulos family, the Business & Prof Assoc, and Borough Council. We'll share sketches with you as soon as we can.
