Animals, Music and Films at Local Libraries
Zoo animals, musical instruments and classic films come to local libraries this week.
If you're looking for a fun way to keep the kids occuped during these summer days, check out the local library events this week.
Malvern Library will host two enrichment programs.
- Elmwood Park Zoo, based in Norristown, will bring three live animals, plus other items, to the library as part of its Zoo on Wheels program. Zoo staff teach children in the audience about the animals lives and habitats. The free program will be held June 28 at 1:30 p.m.
- Makin’ Music, an interactive music and movement enrichment program designed for children. Come join in on the fun with this Malvern Library special for pre-K children. For more information, visit the Makin' Music website. The free program will be held June 29 at 10:30 a.m.
Nearby Tredyffrin Library will begin a series of film presentations based on classic short stories.
- The first screening will be "Rear Window," the classic story of an injured photographer, played by Jimmy Stewart, confined to his home and suspicious of the neighbors he begins to surveil. The film will start June 28 at 6:30 p.m.
The next event in the film series will be "Field of Dreams" on July 5.
