East Whiteland Gas Stations Burglarized

Two filling stations along Route 29 were broken into recently, according to police.

East Whiteland Police are investigating burglaries at two local gas stations, both located along Route 29.

The Sunoco at Lancaster Avenue and the Lukoil/Dunkin Donuts at Swedesford Road were broken into about a month apart, in late October and mid November.

There appear to be several groups committing these types of crimes in municipalities throughout the region, according to East Whiteland Police Lt. Chris Yeager, but the two local cases appear to have been committed by the same group.

The burglaries occurred overnight, and the thieves took an undisclosed amount of cash in each case.

Why don't they have motion detecting lights. It is very dark there at night and my husband's truck was stolen from Sunoco.
