East King Apartments Have a Name
The development is called "Eastside Flats," according to new banners at the construction site.

If you were getting tired of talking about the East King Street redevelopment project, here's a new, shorter phrase to use: Eastside Flats.
That's apparently the name of the development that will eventually add nearly 200 apartments, 25,000 square feet of retail space and 5,000 square feet of office space to Malvern Borough.
Banners recently hung on the fence of the construction site advertise a website—eastsideflatsapts.com—that contains renderings of the finished buildings, information about the Malvern area, and a description of the apartments' features and amenities. No rental rates or floor plans are shown on the site, but prospective tenants can fill out a form to request more information.
"Eastside Flats puts you in the center of a genuine community with an organic market, cafe and more right in your building, and everything else just steps away," says one of the sliding background tiles on the website.
Malvern resident Eli Kahn is developing the strip of East King Street with business partners David Della Porta and Gary Toll—known collectively as 237 King Partners LLC. They have previously said they expect tenants to be able to move into the apartments in late summer 2013.

From the picture of the building from their website it looks huge. I really hope they thought this through when approving this. It just seems like King Street is crowed enough with traffic and people. Forget Wawa at lunch time. Not that you can find a spot now that is. I don't see any benefit for those already residing in the borough.

a little behind in reading--Regina, we're in agreement, a "blah" name. All the heritage in malvern they could have drawn from for a name and they choose Eastside Flats? Pleeezzeee. Someone in Marketing should be fired. Mr Kahn you should do better. Depending how it all plays out, current residents will likely have more colorful names for the complex!
