Olivia E. Verno, of Paoli, 97

Olivia put herself through nursing school and became an operating room nurse. She enlisted in the U.S. Army as a nurse and served as a Captain in France and Gemany during WWII. [Legacy.com/ Philadelphia Inquirer]

Jean Bell Herman, Great Valley teacher, 72

She was an elementary school teacher who taught in the Tarleton Day School in Devon, and the Haverford and Great Valley School Districts before retiring in 2003. She was a member of St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, Malvern. [Mauger Givnish]

George J. Master, 35-year member of Men of Malvern, 85

George was a U.S Navy Veteran who served during W.W. II. He retired in 1991 from Local Union # 19, Sheet Metal Workers. George was a 35 year member of the Men of Malvern and a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Church. He enjoyed creating things from wood and metal and was proud of his children and grandchildren.  [Legacy.com/Daily Times]
