PNC Bank Looks Ready to Open in Uptown Worthington [Updated]
Despite recent projections that the bank would open in March, it will not open until the summer, according to a source at the bank's Pittsburgh headquarters.
Update March 17, 2013: The bank will not open in March. According to Fred Solomon, Director of External Communications at PNC's Pittsburgh headquarters, the Uptown Worthington branch will open in mid- to late-summer.
Asked whether the new branch would affect the PNC Bank in Frazer or other nearby locations, Solomon said, "It is too early for that kind of speculation."

The PNC Bank built on a pad site in the Uptown Worthington Development looks like it could be ready for customers very soon. The bank's name and logo has been added on signs at the develoment's entrances and intersections.
The bank, located just off Matthews Road, will be the first significant progress made in the development the site in years, since Wegmans and Target opened.
Representatives of O'Neill Properties said last November that the bank would open no later than March 2013. Lou Colagreco, a land use lawyer representing O'Neill Properties, was updating the East Whiteland Board of Supervisors at the time.
Malvern Patch has reached out to PNC Bank to see if the branch opening has been scheduled.

Hooray! Now I can easily walk to keep an eye on my money, buy underwear at Target, grab a slice of pizza at Weggie's, and a cup of coffee at the WaWa all on my daily morning stroll! (Although the temptation will always be there to slip the Matrix into gear and cart my protoplasm with ease and less stress on the knees!) Oh How-El-Doors (? spelling) where is thy sting? :-)

Hooray.
Even though there are approx. 40 banks between Berwyn and Exton, its comforting to know that I can find somewhere to put my money, such as it is.
In addition, I can get a small loan from PNC so I can go next door to Wegmans salad bar.
I am really looking forward to even more banks in our community.
You can judge a countrys health by how many banks they have, so Ive been told or, I read it somewhere, Im not sure.
For instance, how many banks are there in say, Bangladesh? now you get my point.
But, anyway, I wish PNC good luck.

Hey, Bob. I know you have your money buried in a hole in your backyard up there on the hill! (Only kidding!) Great comment! We're supposed to be living in a time when folks are having a hard time making it, yet banks are popping up (along with storage facilities) on every corner! Maybe we'll have to start hiding our money in the new faciilty at 30 & Village Way and cut out the service fees these banks/ATMs charge! In God we Trust; all others pay cash! Like we used to!
