Redhound Grille Customers 'Give a Dog a Bone'

The restaurant asked guests to bring toys, blankets and other pet items for dogs without homes.

Visitors to Redhound Grille's "Give a Dog a Bone" event last week brought supplies for shelter dogs as they enjoyed dog-themed cocktails.

According to the "Give a Dog a Bone" Facebook page, the organization was created Main Line attorney Randi Vladimer:

Last year, we gave to 22 different rescues and shelter from December through June from New Jersey to South Carolina. We were even able to assist the shelters in TN and AL after the devastating tornadoes last spring.

Oogy, a Main Line shelter dog who was rescued after being used as a "bait" in a dog fighting ring, made an appearance at the event. His story is told in the attached Youtube video.

This was the third annual "Give a Dog a Bone" event, but the first time it was hosted by Redhound Grille. The restaurant plans to hold the event next year on Dec. 6, 2012.
