A 42-year-old Malvern man was killed in a vehicle crash in Newtown Square Monday night, according to various media reports.

Marple Newtown Patch reported Monday night that a Cadillac Escalade had crashed around 8:45 p.m., with one fatality:

The man's name has not yet been released. He was the driver of the vehicle and no one else was involved in the crash, according to Newtown Township Police.

The SUV was heading westbound on Goshen Road near Crum Creek Lane, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled several times, ejecting the driver from the vehicle, according to Newtown Township Police.

Philly.com reported Wednesday that the driver was a Malvern resident, though his name has still not been released.

Many people have asked me- "what can I do" For those within our GV Community or anyone else who wishes to help the family by Remembering our Dear Friend, The Coffey Family Fund has been set up at TD Bank. This will help with some immediate daily expenses as well as Sports enrollment for the children. Donations may be made at ANY TD bank location or checks may be mailed to TD Bank at 131 West Lancaster Avenue Paoli, PA 19301

Very very sad. My sincere condolence to the Coffey family. That curve really needs some improvement to avoid any more tragedies like this.
Not sure if this is the right time to say this, was he wearing seat-belt? If he were not ejected from the car, the results may be different.

@john.....what is understood doesn't need to be said....it was obviosuly and is always a poor decision to not wear a seatbelt but you do not have to state the obvious when everyone is well aware of it and there are many people who are grieving over this loss of a man's life
