Route 202 Restrictions During Bridge Work

The East Whiteland portion of the highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

PennDOT will again close lanes on Route 202 this week in East Whiteland Township. Both northbound and southbound directions will be reduced to one lane as crews work on the Valley Creek and North Valley Road bridges.

Travel on Route 202 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between the Route 401 and Chesterbrook interchanges in East Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships, Chester County next week (Aug. 21-26) for road and bridge construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.

Northbound and southbound Route 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one on Sunday through Thursday (Aug. 21-25) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning. Lane closures also will be in effect on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 12:01 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Crews will work at night to reconstruct the bridges over Valley Creek and North Valley Road and set concrete barriers in place in preparation for shifting two lanes of northbound traffic over to the southbound side of the highway later this year. [...]
