Great Valley School District superintendent Alan Lonoconus will visit the East Whiteland Township administration building Thursday evening to discuss the district's budget with residents.

The community meeting begins at 7 p.m., and the address is 209 Conestoga Road, just south of the Route 202 underpass. This meeting is the second of three scheduled budget discussions. The final meeting in the series will be held in Charlestown on March 27.

In January, the school board approved a roughly $79.2 million preliminary budget for the 2012-13 school year. At its Feb. 21 meeting, the superintendent laid financial projections that will require serious cuts on the scale of up to $3 million per year.
