Sen. Dinniman to Discuss Governor's Budget Thursday Evening in Exton
The state senator will speak at Downingtown East High School.
State Sen. Andrew Dinniman will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Downingtown East High School to discuss the Gov. Tom Corbett's budget, released earlier this week.
The meeting will focus on "the proposed cuts, their impact on local schools, and the future of public education in Pennsylvania," according to a press release on Dinniman's website:
“With last year’s severe state budget cuts in education, with last fall’s significant college tuition increases at state universities, with what has happened at the Chester Upland School District these last few months, I question Governor Corbett’s commitment to public education, and today’s budget message did little to change my mind,” Dinniman said.
Downingtown High School is located at 50 Devon Drive in Exton.
