Malvern Prep Singers Named to All-Catholic Chorus

Five members of the Malvern Prep Men's Chorus auditioned for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's All-Catholic Chorus last month, and all five nailed it.

Malvern seniors Anthony Abron of Philadelphia, Joe Canuso of Springfield, Alex Gusikoff of Ardmore and Luke Sorensen of Malvern, as well as junior Andrew Stetser of Havertown were selected from a pool of more than 200 singers from private Catholic and Archdiocesan singers who auditioned at St. Hubert's High School on November 5.

Their audition consisted of "I Can Tell The World," a Moses Hogan spiritual, and "How Lovely Are the Messengers" by Felix Mendelssohn. Students were judged on tonal and rhythmic accuracy, vocal technique and musicianship, by music teachers from schools throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
This year's All-Catholic Chorus concert will be held Sunday, February 2, 2014, at St Hubert's High School, with guest conductor Karen Keating from Shenandoah State University.

You can check out Malvern's Men's Chorus tomorrow, Friday, December 6 at the Malvern Borough's Victorian Christmas. The Chorus will be performing two shows at Malvern Bible Chapel, 20 Woodland Ave., at 7:30 p.m and 8:10 p.m.
