Seeking Nominations for Young Heroes Award
This annual award recognizes local students who make a difference in the lives of others in their school, community and beyond. Through the National Liberty Museum's Young Heroes Award, sponsored by TD Bank, we are able to recognize a range of deserving actions, including civic engagement, encouraging peaceful resolutions to conflict, promoting tolerance and diversity, and demonstrating leadership.
Nominations are currently being accepted now through June 30th, 2014. To download a nomination form or to submit a nomination online, please go to https://libertymuseum.org/liberty-institute/awards/heroes/

Past winners of this award include a student who organized a walkout to protest school budget cuts, a passionate defender of rights for the LGBTQ community and a kindergartner who took an interest in assisting special needs students.
All winners receive recognition at an awards ceremony at the Museum; a certificate of recognition, medallion and gifts; and a plaque featuring their story in the Museum’s Young Heroes Exhibit. One winner is named the President's Honor Winner and receives a $1,000 grand prize. Another student will receive our annual Troy Ray Johnson Memorial Award, which recognizes an action directed against violence in Philadelphia.
