VILLA MARIA ACADEMY INDUCTS STUDENTS INTO TRI-M MUSIC HONOR SOCIETY

Villa Maria Academy High School recently inducted 13 students into the Tri-M Music Honor Society, the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. Margaret Boyle and Kaitlin Kelleher, seniors at the all-girls Catholic college preparatory school, were inducted during the ceremony. Erin Alesandroni, Claire Bagley, Kristen Bennet, Sydney Blasi, Jenna Brignola, Maria Daly, Elizabeth DiFilippo, Gabrielle DiPietro, Danielle Knopp, Kristie Mak and Madison Wright were inducted from the junior class. Giuliana Concha Pedraza, ’07, was the guest speaker.

Selection is based on academic success and excellence in music as evidenced through private music study, exemplary conduct and attendance in music ensembles, and the recommendation of the Dean of Students. Throughout the year, the chapter sponsors service projects that benefit the music program, school and general community.

Villa Maria is one of 5,500 Tri-M chapters worldwide. According to the chapter sponsor, Mrs. Joyce S. Prichard, “We are proud of our new Tri-M inductees. Tri-M members embody Villa Maria’s mission and grow spiritually in their Christian service.”
