VILLA MARIA INSTALLS STUDENT COUNCIL FRESHMEN

Villa Maria Academy High School’s Student Council welcomed ten freshman representatives at a recent induction ceremony. Installed as Student Council representatives were: Gabrielle Brogan of Collegeville, Madeline Gilbertson of Downingtown, Victoria Kent of Phoenixville, Megan McCallister of Exton, Carly McFadden of West Chester, Nicole Miller of Malvern, Kelly Mulhern of Downingtown, Jacquelyn Shanley of Malvern, Jennifer Simmons of Exton, and Carly Ostrowski of Glen Mills.

Sr. Danielle Theresa, I.H.M., moderator of Villa Maria’s Student Council, was present as the student representatives took the oath of office and received pins to signify their new leadership positions. Sr. Regina Ryan, I.H.M., Ed.D., principal of the Catholic girls preparatory school, congratulated the representatives and encouraged them to look beyond themselves as they prepare to lead others. The charism of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, upon which Villa Maria was founded, empowers young women to live by their faith and use their talents to advance, contribute and make a difference.

Villa Maria Academy High School (Malvern, Pa.) is a private Catholic high school, preparing girls for college and beyond in the tradition of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. At Villa Maria, students are taught to be critical thinkers and confident leaders. These young ladies pursue a course of study that will continually reinforce analytical problem-solving skills, high-level thinking, and increasingly independent work. Villa Maria empowers young women to lead lives of spiritual growth, intellectual inquiry and Christian service. For more information, visit www.vmahs.org.
