VILLA MARIA STUDENT APPLIES HER TALENT IN A BIG WAY

Villa Maria Academy High School student Margaret Boyle is a talented artist whose love of art has been nurtured in the school’s art classes. The senior at the all-girls Catholic college preparatory school assisted with the Malvern Community Arts Project, which involves painting murals on community buildings. In the tradition of Villa Maria, Margaret has been using her talent to benefit society and beautify Malvern.

Since the summer, Margaret has worked on a mural being rendered on the back of an auto service garage located across the street from the historic train station. The patriotic mural honors Malvern’s history. Margaret even had a chance to add her personal touch – visitors who look closely will see Margaret’s owl. The mural was completed in early November.

Villa Maria Academy High School (Malvern, Pa.) is a private Catholic high school that prepares girls for college and beyond in the tradition of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. At Villa Maria, students are taught to be critical thinkers and confident leaders. These young ladies pursue a course of study that will continually reinforce analytical problem-solving skills, higher-level thinking, and increasingly independent work. Villa Maria empowers young women to lead lives of spiritual growth, intellectual inquiry and Christian service.
