Volunteers Deck the Lampposts for Victorian Christmas

Lampposts along King Street and in Burke Park were decorated Saturday for Malvern's Victorian Christmas.

Malvern residents and employees from First CornerStone Bank gathered Saturday morning to decorate 40 lampposts along King Street and in Burke Park.

"The first year there were only three volunteers, and this year there are over 30!" said Jerry Brown, one of the organizers of Malvern's .

The lampposts serve as decorations for the Malvern's Victorian Christmas festivities being held Dec. and .

Borough resident and volunteer Zach Brown said, "The lamppost decorating helps to build community pride and kick off the Christmas season."

After a morning of work, volunteers were treated to a lunch sponsored by Chris and Pete Papadopoulos of Malvern Pizza and Beer.
