“Steinway Comes to Immaculata: Celebration of All-Steinway”

Immaculata University and Jacobs Music Company are hosting a four-day All-Steinway Celebration from Thursday, June 7, through Sunday, June 10.  To commemorate Immaculata’s All-Steinway School status, the famous Horowitz Piano (known as the CD 503 piano), which is touring the country, will arrive at Immaculata for a faculty concert featuring William Carr, DMA, Steinway Artist, and other Immaculata University music faculty members.  In addition, 22 regional piano teachers will be bringing their students to perform on the Horowitz piano for a Perform-a-Thon, Children Helping Children, benefitting the Philadelphia Chapter of the Ronald McDonald House.  

Details for the four-day event include:

  • Children Helping Children Perform-a-Thon (all students perform on the Horowitz Piano): Thursday, June 7, from 4 – 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, June 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall. The public is invited to attend.
  • Immaculata University Faculty Concert on Friday evening, June 8, featuring William Carr, DMA, Steinway Artist, on the Horowitz Piano and the Immaculata Music Department faculty in Memorial Hall.  The public is invited to attend. Please check website for more information.
  • Great Steinway & Sons Selection Event from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10 in the Great Hall.  Selection Event is by appointment only.
