Get Out: Fire Company Fair and Organic Gardening

July 15-17, 2011, edition.

This weekend, take some time off to relax at one of Bryn Mawr’s weekly summer concerts, or spend an evening with the whole family at the Malvern Fire Company Fair. Music lovers have an opportunity to enjoy live artists at Wegmans and the Cedar Hollow Inn. For those curious to learn something new, there is an organic farming course at the Henriett Hankin Library.

  • Where/When: The Bryn Mawr Gazebo, 9S Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, July 16, 7:00pm.
  • Why Go:  The Twilight Concerts are a series of weekly outdoor shows that feature both local talent and touring artists. Enjoy the beautiful weather at the Bryn Mawr gazebo and enjoy a great show.
  • Price: $10, free for kids 16 & under.

  • Where/When: Malvern Monument Grounds, Monument Avenue, July 13 - July 16, 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
  • Why Go:  Join the local fire company for this annual family-friendly fair. The fair offers plenty of activities for everyone, and there will be fireworks Friday night at 9:30pm. Coupons for $2 off coupons are available at all local businesses. More info .

  • Why Go: Cedar Hollow Inn has a late-night menu and offers live entertainment every weekend. This week’s artist is Dan Ward, an acoustic classic rock guitarist. Visit Dan’s website for more information.
