Get Out: Raptor Run, Music and Civil War Roadshow

This weekend brings a ton of exciting outdoor and music events to the Malvern area. Check out the Civil War Road show at the Penn State Great Valley Campus, or participate in a scenic Raptor Run in Downingtown. Music lovers can head out to Cedar Hollow Inn or The Office Bar and Grille for quality live entertainment.

• Why Go: The Civil War Road Show is an interactive traveling exhibition that is making stops in all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. Come learn about Civil War stories and experiences during the show’s three-day stop in Malvern.
• Price: Free.

• Where/When: Marsh Creek State Park, 675 park Road, Downingtown, July 31, 9:00am.
• Why Go: The Raptor Run is a 10- or 5-mile course that runs along a scenic lakefront trail in Downingtown. Post-race food and water stops will be available. Proceeds from the race will help support environmental education programs for special needs and underprivileged children.

Rushton Farm Market  

• Where/When: Rushton Farm, 1050 Delchester Road, July 30, 11:00am - 3:00pm.
• Why Go:  Rushton Farm is Willistown Conservation Trust’s six-acre organic farm that grows produce on pesticide and herbicide-free land. The Farm Market offers fresh, organic produce to choose from on Saturday, so support the town’s sustainable farming project and come browse the selection with family or friends.

• Why Go:  Cedar Hollow Inn offers a delicious late-night menu and a wide selection and live entertainment every weekend night. This week’s band is The Nerve - a progressive rock band from Newtown Square.
