Grab & Go Planner: 4th of July Picnic and Storytime
June 30 - July 7, 2011, edition.
This week, take the children to one of the great educational activities going on at the Malvern Library: there will be a Book Bingo on July 5th, followed by Storytime for Children the next day. Over the long weekend, head outdoors and spend a day volunteering at the Rushton Farm, or celebrate the 4th of July with the whole family at the park!

- Why Go: Wendell August is one of America’s oldest manufacturers of hand-made ornaments and giftware. This monthly event will feature plenty of activities for the whole family, and free food and refreshments as well. Participants will also have a chance to take home a free homemade souvenir. - Why Go: This event is a fun way for kids to get together with their peers at the local library and experience a new and fun way of learning. Game times are 11:00am - noon for grades 1-2, and 1:00pm - 2:00pm for grades 3-5.

- Why Go: Storytime at the Malvern Library is back, this time with a busier schedule that includes children of all ages. Reading is fundamental, so come join in on the fun! Reading times are 9:30am for children age 2 + adult, 10:30am & 1:30pm for children age 3-K, and 4:00pm for babies-23months + adult.

- Why Go: Rushton Farm is Willistown Conservation Trust’s organic, pesticide and herbicide-free farm. This weekend, take the whole family out for a day of fresh air and gardening, and help support a great cause. - Why Go: Celebrate this year’s 4th of July at a fun community event at a nearby national park. The schedule is packed with fun activities for the kids, historic re-enactments, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Food and refreshments will be available as well, and music will be provided by Scott Entertainment.
