Grab & Go Planner: Pond Tour and Civil War Show

This week brings many fun and educational opportunities for the whole family can enjoy. Nature lovers have chance to stop by the Brandywine Pond Show. The Kennett Square Art Fest provides a great opportunity for children to enjoy a creative outdoor environment, and the PA Civil War Show will be parked in Malvern this weekend as well.

- Why Go: Children grades 1-5 have a chance to experience some Winterthur Museum’s masterpieces with their peers. Space is limited, so register soon to guarantee a spot.

- Why Go: Reading is fundamental, so come join in on the fun! Reading times are 9:30am for children age 2 + adult, 10:30am & 1:30pm for children age 3-K, and 4:00pm for babies-23months + adults.

Kennett Square Family Art Fest
- Where/When: Ason B. Nixon Park, 100 Waterworks Road, Kennett Square, July 30, 10:00am - 3:00pm.
- Why Go: This art fest will be packed with fun, family-friendly activities such as hayrides, fairy gardens, and face painting. Live entertainment will be provided by the Junk Rock Recycle Band, Danza Tenochtli, the Longwood Performing Arts Center, and many more!

- Why Go: The Pond Tour is an annual event that allows visitors to explore the beautiful pondscapes of Brandywine valley. All proceeds go to benefit the Chester County Food Bank, and non-perishable items will be collected for donation. For more information, visit the event website.

- Why Go: The Civil War Road Show is an interactive traveling exhibition that is making stops in all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. Learn about Civil War stories and experiences during the show’s three-day stop in Malvern.
