CANCELED: Halloween Paraders to Haunt Malvern Sunday

The parade was schedule to begin at 4 p.m., but has been canceled due to the extreme weather forecast.

UPDATE 10/27/12 8:20pm—The parade has been canceled due to the impending storm, according to an email from borough manager Sandy Kelley. There is no rain date.

The sign hanging in Burke Park is hard to miss—Malvern Borough's 2012 Halloween Parade comes to King Street on Sunday, Oct. 28. The parade is organized by the Great Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Line up starts at 3 p.m. on East King Street between Ruthland Avenue and Church Street. The parade begins at 4, heading west on King Street toward Malvern Shopping Center.

Marching Divisions:

  • Pre-school (up to 3)
  • Pre-school 2 (ages 4 to 5)
  • Scariest
  • Funniest
  • Pairs
  • Most Original
  • Adventure Characters
  • Storybook Characters
  • Groups
  • Adults (ages 18 and up)
  • Floats and Wheeled Vehicles
  • Doggie Division (dogs must be leashed)

There will be no rain date.

Trophies will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Children's Divisions.
