Middle School Stages 'Wizard of Oz'

The production debuted Thursday, with shows left Friday and Saturday.

Great Valley Middle School will present The Wizard of Oz Friday night and Saturday afternoon and night.

The show opened Thursday night, and according to the director and producers at the GVMS Musical Theater blog, things went well:

You rocked the first show!  You were full of energy - your voices were beautiful. You all looked wonderful.  This first show was monumental and you rose to the challenge.  Our audience LOVED it!!!

Audiences have three more chances to take enjoy the classic story of Dorothy's adventures in Oz. Remaining performances are Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the door, if the shows are not sold out in advance. For more information, see the Patch calendar listing.

Loved last night. W of O is my favorite all time movie musical! Those middle school kids are amazing! Am signed to go tonight and tomorrow night, too!!! One of the joys of being a grandmother!! Oh -- and a big shout out to Maddie the Dog (Toto), the little scene stealer!

I am amazed at the productions that the Middle School puts on. My son has a few roles and we went last night and will be going back tomorrow night. Everyone works so hard and they do such a great job and have a lot of fun too. So proud of all of them! Toto is a riot!!

Having carted various thespians to and from rehearsals, and attended two evenings, and then marveled at the colors, the orchestra, and the sets, I want to give an additional 'shout out' to the students who were part of the stage crew (an onorous task with such an enormous production) and the parents who designed, built, and then moved the sets for 4 performances not to mention dress rehearsals!! Kudos to those who go unseen but are most important behinid the spotlight! Thank you!!!!

Bryn Mawr helped my son to walk again. They gave him the tools and he had the determination. I am soRead More proud of him and I think the world of all those who helped him. Pat Walsh (Mother of Bob Walsh)
