Shyamalan Picks Vancouver Over PA for New Series

The well-known director won't be staying close to home for his upcoming TV series.

M. Night Shyamalan has selected Vancouver, not Doylestown, for the site of his upcoming television series, according to Sharon Pinkenson, executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office.

Last week, Pinkenson announced Shyamalan, who lives in Willistown Township, was considering both Doylestown and Sellersville in Bucks County as the backdrop for his upcoming show, "Wayward Pines."

Shyamalan is familiar with Doylestown; portions of his 2002 film “Signs,” were set in Bucks County, including Doylestown Township.

The renowned director and producer announced via Twitter in May that the Fox network had ordered 10 episodes of his "Wayward Pines" television series.
