Malvern Mural Artist's Past Works [Photos]

Carrie Kingsbury will paint a Victorian scene on the exterior wall of Malvern Pizza & Beer.

Carrie Kingsbury is the muralist who will create a full-color Victorian scene on the side of Malvern Pizza & Beer.

Based in Birdsboro and working as Promiseland Murals, Kingsbury's art can already be found in Malvern and throughout the region. She painted the fox-hunting scene on the side of Great American Pub in Paoli.

View some of her work in the slideshow above.

Malvern resident Kristin Thomas, who is spearheading the mural effort, gave some background on Kingsbury in a comment on a recent post about the project:

Carrie has been creating one of a kind murals for businesses and homes throughout the Tri-state area for over a decade, but has flown as far as California and India to paint murals. Her work was featured on the TV show Extreme Home Makeover Berks Edition and some of her more well-known clients include St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as many local restaurants and schools in our area.
You may recognize her work right here in Malvern, she painted the fox hunting scene on the side of the Great American Pub at the other end of King Street! Carrie is busy researching and consulting with the Historical Commission in the Borough and making sketches to be reviewed by the Papadopoulos family, the Business & Prof Assoc, and Borough Council. We'll share sketches with you as soon as we can.

View more of her art on her website and Facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/MalvernMuralProject Thanks for sharing this Pete. Please check out Carrie's facebook page mentioned above. She has done a diverse amount of very interesting projects for businesses and residents in the tri-state area. One of my favorites is a jungle scene surrounding an indoor pool in a private home. Carrie has met with the Historical Commission and Malvern Pizza to discuss ideas and will presenting rough sketches soon. Our intent is to put our favorite two (as approved by Malvern Pizza, MPBA, the Historical Commission, and Borough Council) on public display and allow the community to vote on the design. Much like we did for the playground equipment at Greentree Park. This is a community project and the community should have some say in which design is chosen.
