Cycling Grand Prix Returns to Malvern in July

The streets of Malvern Borough will once again become the route of a bicycle race this summer.

Dozens of cyclists participated in seven races last year at the Malvern criterium of the inaugural Chesco Grand Prix. The race will return to Malvern July 8, and the race route can be viewed as a PDF attached to this article.

"Hopefully it won't be 105 degrees like it was last year," organizer Frank Ortner said at a meeting of the Malvern Business and Professional Association, which is sponsoring the event.

July 7: Third annual Coatesville Classic 4-9 PM
July 8: Malvern Criteriums   5-9 PM
July 9: Parkesburg Criteriums   5-9 PM
July 10: Eagle Criteriums 5-9   PM
July 11: Phoenixville   Criteriums 5-9 PM
July 12: Oxford Criteriums 5-9   PM
July 13: Kennett Square   Criteriums/Series Final 3-8 PM
July 14: Chesco Tour recreational ride throughout Chester County (Location TBD)
