Georges' To Close Next Weekend

Georges’ on the Main Line is closing its doors after Jule 7, according to Philly.com.

The restaurant opened by George Perrier has been a fixture in the Eagle Village Shops in Wayne for more than a decade.

This has been quite a month for Perrier. Le Bec-Fin, arguably Philadelphia’s most famous restaurant, closed earlier this month, Perrier actually sold the French restaurant in 2012, but it reopened again with the same name and look under new management.

Only a couple months ago, Perrier stepped down from the management of his new bakery project, the Art of Bread in Narberth, which still carries his name on its website.

Perrier’s Chestnut Hill home, which has been on the market since 2011, just sold, the famous chef and restauranteur told Phillymag.com this week. Perrier bought the house in January 2008 for $2.35 million, according to property records.
