MacDougall's Cakes Take Victory in Reader Poll

The Malvern-based company can be found at local farmers markets and events.

Earlier in the week, we asked about where to find the around, and when the polls closed at 9 a.m. Friday, MacDougall's Irish Victory Cakes had lived up to their name. The Malvern-based company that travels to local farmers markets and other events claimed 60 percent of the vote, beating out runner-up Dixie Picnic's trademarked "upcakes," which drew 16 percent.

Reader was responsible for getting MacDougall's on the ballot, posting:

MacDougall's Irish Victory cakes are great!

A comment from backed Dia Dolce—another traveling vendor who was added to the poll—but expressed an affinity for MacDougall's, too:

What about Dia Dolce cupcakes. To me these cupcakes far out rank your poll selections. MacDougall's ranks right up there for me.
