Bartender for: The Flying Pig Saloon

How long she's been there: Ten years

Origins: She started out as a waitress serving tables once or twice a week during college. One day, the restaurant was in need of a day shift bartender. From then on, she worked as primarily bartender full-time.

“Here there's not bartender or waitress,” she said.” “Everyone knows how to serve their own beer and make their own drinks. We’re all pretty much bartenders here.”

You may remember her from: Before the Flying Pig, she worked at the Paoli Local, now TJ’s Restaurant & Drinkery, and the Ship Inn and Lighthouse Grill in Exton.

Why she prefers the Pig: “I like this place a lot because of the people,” she said. “I graduated with a marketing degree. I did sales for a while and came crawling back here to the Pig. Fred and Steve — I couldn’t ask for two better bosses.”

Favorite drink: Dark beers, such as Porter or Stout and also sour beers.

Least favorite drink: “I don’t have a least favorite drink. They’re all good... I give every one a chance.”

Best part about her job: “The freedom you have. You can be candid with people, sit down and chat with people. It’s not like a job because you have fun at a bar every day and get paid. You don’t have to wear a uniform... You get to be like everyone else.”

The vibe: “This place has great food, great beer. It’s casual. It’s the corner place you want to come back to,” she said. “There’s a bar down the street with all granite bar tops... It feels stuffy. You can come in, breathe and relax. We have something for everybody... There’s a homey feel to it.”
