A Rainbow for St. Patty's Day? Wet Wednesday Will Give Way to Sunny Thursday

A rainy Wednesday will lead to sunshine on the 17th and a warm, pleasant weekend.

The rain isn't finished with us yet. A half-inch could fall overnight into the Wednesday morning commute, with thunderstorms in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Another quarter inch could fall during the day.

The clouds should part for Thursday, though, when giving way to sunshine and highs in the low 60s. The weekend forecast reaches into the 70s.

The National Weather Service is predicting:

  • Wednesday: Highs in the 50s. Rain and some thunderstorms before noon, spotty showers in the afternoon leading to a cloudy night.
  • Thursday: Highs in the low 60s. Sunny with a light breeze.
  • Friday: High surpassing 70º. Sunny during the day, with a chance of nighttime showers.
  • Saturday: High in the upper 50s. Sunny, then partly cloudy overnight
  • Sunday: Highs in the mid 50s. Partly sunny.
