Charlestown Road to Close Saturday for Tree Removal

Traffic will be detoured over Route 29 during the work, according to PennDOT.

Editor's note: The following information comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. 

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will remove a deteriorated tree along Charlestown Road between Broadwater Lane and Coldstream Road in Charlestown Township on Saturday (May 25) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

During the operation, Charlestown Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 29 (State Road) and Pothouse Road.

Local access will be maintained up the work zone.  Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the areas. The operation is dependent on the weather.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to www.511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major highways before heading out.
