Excessive Heat Warning in Effect Until 7 p.m.

High temperatures will remain throughout the week.

As the temperature hits the triple-digits, the National Weather Service is issuing several weather-related advisories:

Excessive heat warning until 7 p.m. Tuesday:

The heat and humidity is expected to continue through at least Friday and the excessive heat warning will likely need to be extended through at least Friday with heat index values around 106 to 110 in the afternoon.

Code Orange air quality alert for Wednesday, July 20 :

A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations with the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. ... The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
