Flood Watch for Southeastern Pennsylvania

Rainfall is expected to be heavy and any snow isn't likely to accumulate.

The National Weather Service expects one and a half to three inches of rain to fall Wednesday in the Malvern area.

The agency issued a Flood Watch advisory beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday and going through Wednesday night, advising motorists to avoid easily flooded roads next to creeks and streams. The rainfall is expected between daybreak and midnight on Wednesday.

"The first batch of heavy rain will occur [Wednesday] morning when widespread one-half to one-and-a-half inch amounts are expected in a six-hour period," the advisory states. "Both the morning and evening communte should be afffected by occasionally heavy rain."

Wednesday's predicted high temperature is 57, with winds 6 to 8 mph, before an overnight low of 36. Despite a chance of snow late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, "little to no accumulation is expected," the agency reported.
