Flood Watch In Effect Through Sunday Night

Two to three inches of rain expected to fall in the region.

The Malvern area, and all of Chester County, is under a flood watch through late Sunday night.

According to a statement issued Saturday evening by the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J.:

Showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight through Sunday night with periods of heavy rain likely. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected in much of the region with locally higher amounts possible.

People who live along lakes, streams and other areas with poor drainage are advised to prepare to take action if flooding occurs.
