Hazardous Waste to Be Collected Saturday in Phoenixville

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cat Pickering, but not all hazardous items will be accepted.

The Chester County Solid Waste Authority will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection in Phoenixville Saturday.

The event, which is open to Chester County residents, runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the CAT Pickering Campus, located at 1580 Charlestown Road.

Items that will not be accepted:

  • unidentified waste
  • tires
  • explosives and ammunition
  • latex paint
  • appliances with freon
  • used motor oil
  • propane-helium tanks
  • Household batteries and smoke detectors should be put into trash
