Historical Photo Location Revealed

The Margaret Harris House, erected circa 1815 stands at the southwest corner of Swedesford and North Bacton Hill roads.

It's time for the answer to 's Historical Snapshot challenge, which was apparently a relatively easy one for commenters.

The photo was taken in 1972 and depicts the Margaret Harris House, located at the corner of Swedesford Road and North Bacton Hill Road. The accompanying photos show the state of disrepair the building was in as recently as 2005.

The East Whiteland Historical Commission provides the photo, gives some of the background:

It was built c. 1815 and contributed to the 18th & 19th century crossroads community known as White Horse.  It's just down the road from the White Horse Tavern which is arguably the most significant historical building in our township and played a role in the Battle of Paoli.  It was in danger of demolition more than once over the years.  Businessman Joe Forcine was the owner who finally rehabilitated it and it is now down to the original stone and looking great.
