Big news: East Whiteland-Willistown Patch is now Malvern Patch. This site has a new name, but its mission and coverage area remain the same.

Q. Why change the name?
A. There are two main reasons. First, for the URL: Eastwhiteland.patch.com didn't mention Willistown, and it's a bit long by web standards.

The second reason is for accuracy: The original name didn't indicate Malvern borough is included, which of course it is. Most residents in Malvern Patch's coverage area have Malvern postal addresses, so it's the best description of the site's coverage area.

Q. Will Malvern Patch still cover East Whiteland and Willistown?
A. Yes, absolutely. The towns beneath the masthead haven't changed: "Covering the communities of East Whiteland, Willistown, Malvern and Frazer"

Q. Why not Great Valley Patch or 19355 Patch?
A. Patch has a naming style for all its sites that always incorporates the name of a municipality. This makes it easier for people to find the site if, for example, they're browsing the list of towns at Patch.com.
