Route 202’s posted speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles per hour in the four-mile long construction work zone.

This preliminary operation is part of PennDOT’s $105.4 million project to add a third travel lane in each direction and improve four miles of Route 202 from just south of the Route 252 Interchange in Tredyffrin Township to just north of the Route 401 Interchange in East Whiteland Township.

Richard E. Pierson Construction Company, Inc. of Woodstown, N.J., is the general contractor on the project that is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
