PennDOT is once again closing one lane of southbound traffic on Route 202 in East Whiteland. The work will take place Tuesday, July 5, to Thursday, July 7, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During that time, crews will be working on the roadway shoulder, which will be used as a travel lane as the highway expansion project progresses.

The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent. In the event that inclement weather postpones construction one night, the contractor will work Saturday, July 9 from 12:01 a.m. to 10 a.m.

PennDOT advises motorists that the posted speed limit in the Route 202 construction zone is 45 miles per hour. Southbound drivers should allow additional time for travel during construction because slowdowns will occur.
