Rep. Milne To Host Shredding and Recycling Event Saturday

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.

State Rep. Duane Milne and the East Whiteland Police Department will host a recycling and shredding event Saturday at the parking lot. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.

Residents can bring sensitive records from home for shredding and hazardous items for proper handling, at no cost.

Accepted items include:

  • Paper
  • Cell phones and chargers
  • Computers and accessories
  • Prescription drugs (expired and unused)
  • Small electronics (home and office)
  • Faded and worn flags

Items that will not be accepted:

  • Televisions
  • Furniture
  • Electronics in wooden cases
  • Major appliances and items with refrigerants
  • Needles and epi-pens

Residents with questions about certain items can call the congressman's office at 610-251-1070. The Penn State Great Valley campus is located at 30 E. Swedesford Road in East Whiteland.
