Crews will work at night to relocate barrier and pave in the area of the Route 401 northbound on-ramp, and to install drainage inlets. This work is weather dependent and motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on northbound Route 202 during construction.

PennDOT is reconstructing four miles of Route 202 to add a third travel lane in each direction from just south of the Route 252 Interchange in Tredyffrin Township to just north of the Route 401 Interchange in East Whiteland Township. Richard E. Pierson Construction Company, Inc. of Woodstown, N.J. is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.

This is the first of two mainline construction contacts to rebuild and expand 6.5 miles of Route 202 from just south of the Route 252 Interchange to the Route 30/Exton Bypass Interchange. The second contract, which runs from just north of the Route 401 Interchange to the Route 30/Exton Bypass Interchange, is scheduled to start construction in early 2013 and finish in late 2015.
