Sixty-three Dogs In The Running For 'Bark For Life' Calendar

After six weeks of voting, the anti-cancer campaign has raised nearly $2,000.

The Great Valley Bark for Life campaign set out earlier this year to raise money for the American Cancer Society through a calendar contest. In addition to selling 2012 calendars in the fall, the group planned to allow dog owners as prospective calendar pups.

With six weeks of voting down and two left to go, the group has raised almost $2,000, according to organizer Vicki Hennig. Each dollar donated counts as one vote cast for any of the 63 puppy photos that were submitted by the April 15 deadline.

The top dozen vote-getters will be announced at the , held June 12 at Charlestown Township Park, and will have the option to do a professional photo shoot for the calendar.
