Route 3 Accident Sends Two to Hospital

West Chester Pike traffic was stalled for a short time following a three-vehicle crash.

A three-vehicle collision stopped traffic on West Chester Pike Monday afternoon near the Willistown-Westtown border. Two people were injured and sent to the hospital, according to police.

A box truck, an SUV and a small black sedan were involved in the accident. According to a Willistown officer on the scene, the crash occurred around 4 p.m. near the entrance to the Willistown Woods development, when one vehicle hit a stopped vehicle, pushing it into a third vehicle. 

Traffic was stalled in both directions for a short time, but had resumed moving in both directions by about 4:15 p.m.

Goshen Fire Company Fire Police and Ambulance were on the scene to direct traffic and tend to injuries.
