Turnpike Delays Overnight Wednesday to Thursday

Construction crews will close a lane as they work from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. between Downingtown and Valley Forge.

There will lane closures on the turnpike in the East Whiteland area Wednesday night. Motorists are advised to plan for delays between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m.

The following information comes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission:

[M]otorists traveling on the Turnpike (I-76) east from Downingtown (Exit #312) to Valley Forge (Exit #326) should be prepared for a single-lane closure tonight, Wednesday (May 30) between the hours of 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. tomorrow morning.

At 8 p.m. construction crews will establish a single-lane pattern, closing the left lane eastbound between milepost 325-326 during road surface drilling activities until the pattern is lifted by 4 a.m. Thursday morning.

Motorists approaching the Valley Forge Interchange should stay alert for slow moving construction vehicles or stopped traffic and obey the posted speed limits through the work zone. All work is weather permitting and the contractors schedule is subject to change.

There will also be roadwork and delays west of Norristown on I-276:

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission reports that motorists traveling on the Turnpike (I-76) west from Norristown (Exit #333) to Valley Forge (Exit #326) should be prepared for a double-lane traffic pattern tonight, Wednesday (May 30) between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.

At 9 p.m. construction crews will establish a double-lane pattern westbound, closing the left and center lanes between milepost 327-326 during bridge repairs until the pattern is lifted by 6 a.m. Thursday morning.

Motorists approaching the Valley Forge Interchange should stay alert for slow moving construction vehicles or stopped traffic and obey the posted speed limits through the work zone. All work is weather permitting and the contractors schedule is subject to change.
