Where Were These Photos Taken?

One of the buildings is gone, and one remains—what's the location? Register your answer (or guess) in the comments.

It's a two-for-one deal this week. The two photos above, provided by the East Whiteland Historical Commission, were taken in September 1979. The buildings pictured were located near each other on the same road.

One of the buildings has been demolished, and one still stands. The photos have been uploaded as PDF documents to allow close inspection.

Can you guess which one remains today, and where these photos were taken? Submit your answers in the comments, and we'll post the answer with a current photo next Wednesday.

Low Bridge Lane was the street name back then.....

My brother saw the article about Low Bridge Lane and emailed it to me. My family lived in the house in the color photo (left side in the split photo) in the mid-1950's. The quarry was long closed down, and it was a two-family house in which we lived on the left side. Even then, developers were pressing the owner of the property, whose name, as I recall, was Jim Biddison, and at that time he refused to sell the property. (I believe his children sold the property after his death.) Thanks for sharing your knowledge of "the lane", which was a great place for my brothers and myself to live when we were kids.
