Winter Weather Advisory for the Malvern Area

Two to five inches of snow could fall Saturday, plus sleet, freezing rain and ice.

The National Weather Services has issued a winter weather advisory for Malvern and the surrounding region.

The advisory takes effect from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and calls for snow, sleet and freezing rain. In addition to two to five inches of snow, a tenth of an inch of ice could also accumulate during the storm, according to the NWS.

"Snow will overspread the region after midnight, falling with varying intensity into Saturday morning," the advisory states. "The snow will gradually change to sleet and freezing rain then all rain as temperatures get just above the freezing mark."
